Description
Edward Steele is sailing to England from Africa as Christmas of 1812 approaches. While at sea, he meets a gentleman named Denley and his servant, Osborne--actually a woman in disguse named Niki. When Denley takes ill Edward offers his assistance before continuing on his way. Believing his unusual companions are forever behind him, he learns that God works in mysterious ways. Edward is destined to cross paths with the enigmatic Niki again.
