Sheriff Walt Longmire is asked to transport Raynaud Shade, an adopted Crow Indian who has just confessed to murdering a boy ten years ago and burying him in the Bighorn Mountains, and when he recognizes the last name of the victim and learns that the boy's body is buried in his jurisdiction, Longmire is determined to make sure justice is served.
