See Chrystal to learn how to get involved with a variety of community groups and causes. When she's not doing that, Chrystal is the Library's Assistant Director.

Karen is a passionate librarian with a lifelong love of learning. From a young age, Karen has been drawn to libraries, and she spent much of her childhood surrounded by books.

In her role as a prison librarian, Karen has championed social justice initiatives and spearheaded the development of new prison libraries. She is an advocate for providing offenders with access to educational resources and opportunities for rehabilitation.

Karen is always looking for ways to be more involved in the community through library initiatives. She is also committed to her own development, and her next educational goal is to learn Spanish to better serve the needs of her patrons.

Despite her busy schedule, Karen finds balance in her life through her love of outdoor recreation and travel. Since her recent remarriage, she and her husband have embarked on new adventures together, exploring nature and experiencing different cultures. 

Karen's story is one of resilience, dedication, and a lifelong love of learning. She is a valuable asset to the library profession and a champion for those who need library services the most. We are thrilled to have her join the Uintah County Library family!

Trike Tyson joined us January of 2022 and quickly became our mascot, friend and social media star. He began his career on Tik Tok and has recently decided to switch over to Youtube to start a new adventure. When he is not in meetings, he is lounging around the library causing mischief or just curled up with a good book.
